This Privacy Policy describes how SmartLexAI Corp., doing business as SLAI ("SLAI", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal information and data ("Personal Information") we collect from prospective or existing SLAI customers ("you" for the purposes of this policy) through our website or software applications (collectively for the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the "SLAI AI Platform"), our social media channels, or directly from you by other means.
We use your personal information to manage your SLAI account and to deliver services. We don't sell it, and we only share it when needed to provide what you requested.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide to us.
Personal Information you may provide to us through the SLAI AI Platform or by other means to establish your account and enable our services includes:
- Identifiers and contact information, including your name, salutation, professional title, company name, email address, mailing and postal addresses, online identifiers, Internet Protocol addresses, geolocation data, and account numbers.
- Account setup data, such as the username and password you may create to establish an account on the SLAI AI Platform.
- Payment data, required to complete transactions, such as payment card details or bank account numbers (note: this data is collected directly by our designated payment processor).
- Communications data, derived from our interactions with you, including correspondence via the SLAI AI Platform, social media, or audio recordings of calls.
- Promotional and marketing data, reflecting your preferences for receiving promotional communications and your engagement with such materials.
- Research data, including responses you may provide to surveys or inquiries conducted for learning and business development purposes.
- Other sorts of information, not specifically listed above, which we may use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
2. Sources for Personal Information
We may combine Personal Information provided by you with data obtained from additional sources, including:
- Service providers, such as data licensors and information services that furnish demographic and related data used to support the functionality and delivery of the SLAI AI Platform.
- Promotional partners, including joint marketing collaborators, event co-sponsors, and entities engaged in cross-promotional or product integration activities with SLAI.
- Public sources, such as government agencies, public records, social media platforms, and other publicly accessible repositories.
- Professionals (including attorneys), from whom we may receive information in connection with your use of our product offerings. SLAI does not intend to collect any information from attorneys that would result in a waiver of attorney-client privilege.
- Other sorts of information, not specifically listed above, which we may use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
Automatic data collection.
To help us understand user activity on the SLAI AI Platform, we may automatically log certain data about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction over time with us, such as:
- Device data, such as your computer or mobile device's operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information (e.g., Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G), and general location information such as city, state or general geographic area.
- Online activity data, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times and duration of access, and whether you have opened our emails or clicked links within them.
- Communication interaction data such as your interactions with our email, or other communications (e.g., whether you open and/or forward emails) – we may do this through use of pixel tags (which are also known as clear GIFs), which may be embedded invisibly in our emails.
Cookies and similar technologies.
Some of the automatic collection described above is facilitated by the following technologies:
- Cookies, which are small text files that websites store on user devices and that allow web servers to record users' web browsing activities and remember their submissions, preferences, and login status as they navigate a site.
- Storage technology, like HTML5, that provide cookie-equivalent functionality but can store larger amounts of data on your device outside of your browser in connection with specific applications.
- Web beacons, also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs, which are used to demonstrate that a webpage or email was accessed or opened, or that certain content was viewed or clicked.
3. Use of Personal Information
We may utilize your Personal Information for the following purposes (or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection):
SLAI AI Platform.
Your Personal Information may be used to:
- deliver, maintain, and enhance the SLAI AI Platform and our business operations;
- communicate with you regarding the SLAI AI Platform, including announcements, updates, security notifications, and administrative or support messages;
- assess your preferences and requirements to tailor your experience with the SLAI AI Platform and our communications; and
- provide technical and customer support, and respond to your inquiries, requests, or feedback.
Marketing.
We may use your Personal Information to send you direct marketing communications. You may opt-out of our marketing communications as described in the Opt-out of marketing section below.
Research and development.
We may use your Personal Information for research and development purposes, including to analyze and improve the SLAI AI Platform and our business. As part of these activities, we may create aggregated, de-identified or other anonymous data from Personal Information we collect. We convert Personal Information into anonymous or de-identified data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this anonymous or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze and improve the SLAI AI Platform and promote our business.
Business Improvement.
We may use your personal data—after removing identifying details—to improve our platform and share insights with partners for business purposes.
Compliance and protection.
We may use your Personal Information to:
- Audit and compliance. To assess and verify adherence to legal obligations, contractual commitments, and internal policies.
- Legal and regulatory obligations. To comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal processes, including responses to subpoenas or inquiries from governmental authorities.
- Security and fraud prevention. To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activities, including cyberattacks and identity theft.
- Protection of rights and interests. To safeguard our rights, privacy, and safety, as well as yours, including the initiation or defense of legal claims.
- Contract enforcement. To enforce the terms and conditions governing the SLAI AI Platform or any other agreements we have entered into with you.
With your consent.
In some cases, we may specifically ask for your consent to collect, use or share your Personal Information, such as when required by law.
4. Sharing Personal Information
We may share your Personal Information to the extent necessary with the following parties (as well as otherwise described in this policy or at the time of collection):
- Service providers. Third parties that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the SLAI AI Platform or our business (such as hosting, information technology, customer support, email delivery, customer research, marketing, and website analytics).
- Payment processors. Any payment card information you use to make a purchase on the SLAI AI Platform is collected and processed directly by our payment processor.
- Third parties designated by you. We may share your personal data with third parties where you have instructed us or provided your consent to do so. We will share Personal Information that is needed for these other companies to provide the services that you have requested.
- Business and marketing partners. Third parties with whom we co-sponsor events, with whom we jointly offer products or services, or whose products or services may be of interest to you.
- Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they provide to us.
- Legal authorities. Law enforcement and governmental authorities as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the compliance and protection purposes described above.
- Business transferees. Buyers and other relevant investors or participants in business transactions (including negotiations of, or due diligence for, such transactions) involving a corporate sale, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, or other disposition of all or any part of SLAI.
5. Retaining Your Personal Information
SLAI retains your personal information for at least as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected the data, to provide you with services and products, to comply with our data retention obligations, and to successfully run our business.
6. Your Choices
You have a number of choices when it comes to the Personal Information you provide to SLAI:
- Access or update your information. If you have registered for an account with us through the SLAI AI Platform, you may review and update your account information by logging into the account, or by letting your assigned SLAI account executive know.
- Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of marketing-related emails. Even if you choose to opt-out of marketing-related emails, you may continue to receive necessary service-related and other non-marketing emails.
- Declining to provide information. We need to collect Personal Information to provide certain services. If you choose not to provide the information we identify as required or mandatory, we may not be able to provide you those services.
7. Third Party Services
The SLAI AI Platform may contain links to (and sometimes, integrations with) websites, mobile applications, and other online services operated by third parties. These links and integrations are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. We do not control websites, applications, or other online services operated by third parties, and – unless we specifically agree with you otherwise – we are not responsible for their actions if you choose to engage with them. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites, applications, and online services that you access and use.
8. Security
We use safeguards—technical, organizational, and physical—to protect your personal information. These include controls over staff, systems, networks, and data access. Despite these efforts, no system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs, we'll notify you promptly as required by law.
9. International Processing
SLAI is based in the U.S. and may use service providers in other countries. Your data might be stored or transferred to places with different privacy laws, but we'll follow all applicable rules to protect it.
10. Children
SLAI's platform isn't meant for minors. If we learn we've collected a child's personal data without proper consent, we'll delete it as required by law.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to it, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy and posting it on the SLAI AI Platform or other appropriate means. Any changes to this policy will be effective upon our posting the modified version (or as otherwise indicated at the time of posting). In all cases, your use of the SLAI AI Platform after the effective date of any modified policy indicates your acceptance of the modified policy.
